Exotic Macro Photo Shoot with Metabugs

Many of you have joined us over the years on macro workshops and photography walks around the farm. Now it's time for something a little different! Normally we promote capturing images in the wild as much as possible but for some of the more exotic species this is simply too cost and time prohibitive so this is a great opportunity to capture some different images and practice macro photography skills!

Join us with Metabugs for the day as we photograph some of their collection of amazing exotics. Over the years Graham and Janice have worked all over the world with all kinds of creatures and clients - including BBC, National Geographic, and various other production houses.

On the day we will start with a very short theory session and brief before jumping in to photograph a range of different species. Normally we will have a range of invertebrates (on this occasion we will have no amphibians/reptiles due to the extreme heat), over a dozen species, but every time is different! Props, backgrounds and lighting are provided but you are of course welcome to bring your own as well and we can review on the day - or email us beforehand! 

To get the most out of the day we recommend bringing a DSLR / Mirrorless camera with a dedicated macro lens. If you are at all unsure feel free to contact us. The shoot is limited to 8 people to make sure everyone has plenty of opportunities to photograph the species on display.

Refreshments (tea / coffee / biscuits) are provided but lunch is not - this can be purchased at the Royal Oak on the day or feel free to bring a packed lunch with you.
